Description:

The DS200TCQBG1B is a specialized RST Extended Analog I/O Board, designed and manufactured by General Electric for the Mark V Series, utilized in gas turbine control systems. The TCQB multifunction card is situated in the R, S, and T cores at location 3. For Simplex applications, a single card in the R core suffices. This card is optional and serves to extend I/O capabilities.

Functionally, the DS200TCQBG1B card is employed in steam Simplex and certain TMR applications requiring proximitors. It features hardware jumpers on the TCQB card that must be correctly positioned for inputs 1, 2, & 3, depending on whether proximity transducers or accelerometers are connected. The Mark V system can both excite accelerometer vibration sensors and scale accelerometer feedback signals. The first three proximity transducer/accelerometer input points (PRX01, PRX02, PRX03) on the TCQB I/O card can function as accelerometer inputs, necessitating adjustments to I/O configuration constants and repositioning of hardware jumpers on the TCQB card to accept accelerometer inputs over proximity transducer inputs. The TCQB's configuration determines its functionalities, including:

- Proximitor Inputs
- LVDT/LVDR Inputs
- Two Regulator Milliamp Outputs
- LM Vibration Inputs

Characteristics of the DS200TCQBG1B include one OK LED indicator, one 50-pin connector, and 15 jumpers. When ordering a replacement GE RST Extended Analog I/O Board, it does not come equipped with any erasable programmable read-only memory (EPROM) modules pre-installed. Firmware and programs necessary for the logic device's information processing are stored within these EPROM modules.

However, transferring EPROM modules from the old board to the new one is straightforward. They can be removed using a flat-blade screwdriver, taking care not to damage other components on the board. Before usage, store the modules securely and handle them with a wrist strap to prevent static damage, as they are sensitive to static electricity. After removal, place the modules in a static-protective bag. For added safety, touch the bag to the drive's exterior to ground excess static before removing the modules.

For installation, align the EPROM module with its socket on the new board and press firmly to secure it in place, ensuring a physical connection without gaps. To guarantee the replacement board operates identically to the original, use the same firmware and programming instructions.
