The CPU on the TCDA board assigns a timestamp to each contact input within 1 millisecond after a status change. If a contact input is selected for logging, the operator interface printer can record the timestamp whenever the state of the contact input changes. In case of a contact input circuit failure, diagnostic checks run continuously and trigger an alarm.
