Description:

The IC200CHS015, a Spring-Style Interposing I/O Terminal from GE Fanuc's Versamax series, serves as an interface between field wiring and a Connector-Style I/O Carrier. This unit includes a connector for attaching a cable from the carrier and features 36 spring-clamp style terminals for versatile wiring connections.

A notable characteristic of the IC200CHS015 is its transparent protective hinged door, which shields the wiring terminals. Each module comes with a foldable board designed to fit into this door, enhancing protection. Additionally, auxiliary I/O terminal strips can be added to extend field wiring capabilities, fitting directly into the lower edge of the IC200CHS015.

When installing the IC200CHS015, users have the flexibility to mount it on the same DIN rail as the Connector-Style I/O Carrier or opt for a separate rail. For applications demanding high resistance to mechanical vibration and shock, specialized panels are recommended, with a steel DIN rail being preferable. To ensure electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) protection, the DIN rail must be electrically grounded and possess a conductive, corrosion-resistant finish—preferably unpainted.

For optimal vibration resistance, secure the DIN rail to a panel using screws spaced approximately 6 inches (5.24 cm) apart. Installing DIN-rail clamps at both ends of the installation site further ensures proper alignment and stability.
