Description:
Latest Firmware M_5
No SOE when using Harmony Block I/O (Must remain M_1 or older) L_9 recommended
Supports IOR8X0 and HGS running in the same controller with some limitations
Bad quality exception reporting from enhanced blocks corrected (M3 and M4)
Redundancy link failure using HGS with ethernet cable removed has been corrected
BRC utilization spiking every 20 hours has been corrected
Additional Cybersecurity enhancements
FPGA code updated to rev F .Highly recommended to upgrade
Recommended to be done on all BRC3/4 series controllers and NPM22, and RIO22
Hardware with controlway daughter board assemblies (XU15 populated) must be returned
Could be done online, one module at a time but not recommended
Corrected loss of control without red lighting module
FPGA revision F provides stability improvements for modules that are installed at locations where excessive
electrical noises present. Excessive electrical noise may result in some BRC300/400/410 modules with prior revisions of
FPGA: to red light or exhibit other anomalies where memory corruption is suspected, such as incorrect block output values or
frozen block output values. In parallel with addressing any potential sources of electrical noise, it is also strongly encouraged
that all BRC300/400/410 and NPM22 modules be upgraded to FPGA revision F at the next opportunity to take advantage of
these enhancements.
