Description:

The IS220PDIOH1BE is a Discrete Input/Output Module developed and produced by General Electric for the Mark VIe Series, which is utilized in distributed control systems. 

This module establishes an electrical link between one or two I/O Ethernet networks and a discrete input/output terminal board through the discrete input/output (PDIO) pack. The PDIO pack comprises an acquisition board specific to the discrete input/output function and a processor board that is shared among all Mark VIe distributed I/O packs. 

The PDIO pack can accommodate up to 24 contact inputs, handle up to 12 relay outputs, and receive feedback signals specific to the terminal board. The voltage capability of the PDIO is determined by the connected terminal board. 

System input to the battery pack is provided through a three-pin power input and two RJ45 Ethernet connectors. A DC-62 connector directly linked to the corresponding terminal board connector is used for discrete signal input and output. Indicator LEDs are employed to display visual diagnostics.

Functionally, the PDIO is equivalent to combining a PDIA and PDOA I/O pack into a single unit. For simplex applications, it is mounted on a TDBS terminal board, which integrates the functionalities of an SRLY relay terminal board and an STCI contact input terminal board. For TMR applications, it mounts on a TDBT terminal board, which, when paired with the WROB option, delivers the functionality of a terminal board combined with a TBCI contact input terminal board.

The connections established when three PDIO packs are installed on a TDBT terminal board are illustrated in the subsequent image. The IS220PDOAH1A and IS220PDOAH1B modules are separate terminal boards designed for use with each I/O pack.
