Description:

The IS200EACFG1A is an Exciter AC Feedback Board designed for the EX2100 excitation system. Within the EX2100 Excitation Control framework, the Exciter AC Feedback board (EACF) performs the critical task of measuring both the exciter's PPT AC supply voltage and current.

This terminal board incorporates three-phase voltage measuring transformers and terminals designated for two Flux/Air core coils. The outputs from these voltage and current circuits are distributed across three DB9 connections, facilitating cabling to the M1, M2, and C controllers. Notably, the connection extending from EACF to the EBKP backplane board can reach lengths of up to 90 meters.

Housed within the exciter auxiliary cabinet, the EACF board is available in three distinct versions: EACFG1 tailored for 480 Vrms inputs, EACFG2 suitable for 1000 Vrms inputs, and EACFG3 designed for 1300 Vrms inputs. For the flux/air core input signals, high-frequency noise reduction measures are implemented near the signal entry point. Where applicable, cable shield terminal screws linked to chassis ground are positioned within a three-inch proximity of the input screws.

Exciter Voltage Measurement
- G1 Model: Accommodates a single three-phase input voltage with a nominal range of 480 Vrms + 20%, operating at 50/60 Hz.
- G2 Model: Designed for a single three-phase input voltage with a nominal range of 1000 Vrms + 20%, also at 50/60 Hz.
- G3 Version: Allows for a single three-phase input voltage up to 1300 Vrms + 20% (1400 V for revision BAA and later), at 50/60 Hz.

The secondary outputs of the potential transformers on both boards deliver a standardized 1.6 Vrms.

Inputs for Air Core CT/Flux Coil
At 50/60 Hz, air core current transformers provide a nominal secondary output voltage ranging from 0 to 0.8 Vrms.

Application Data
The configuration includes three-phase voltage transformers labeled T1 through T4. Screw connectors TB1, TB2, and TB3 are dedicated to voltage inputs, while terminal block TB4 handles wiring from the two Flux/Air core coils. Three 9-pin sub-D connectors, J504, J509, and J514, are designated for cabling to the EBKP backplane supporting the EMIO boards.

IS200EACFG1A Replacement Procedure
1.Open the auxiliary cabinet door and ensure no electrical power is present before proceeding with any physical contact.
2. With care, disconnect all cables attached to the EACF board.
3. Remove the three securing screws holding the EACF board in place and take out the board.
4. Install the new board onto the standoffs using the same three screws removed in step 3, ensuring it occupies the identical position as the previous board.
5. Reconnect all wires and connections to the board as originally labeled and verify that the cables are correctly seated at both ends.
6. Close the auxiliary cabinet door once all connections are secure.
