FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEW:
The 9905-969 is a Linknet 6 Channel Analog Input Module (4-20mA) crafted by Woodward. It integrates seamlessly into the NetCon control system, leveraging the simplicity and cost-effectiveness of the LINKnet distributed I/O network. While primarily designed for non-turbine control applications such as sequencing and monitoring, these modules offer a more economical and straightforward solution compared to the higher performance NetCon I/O modules.

NETWORK STRUCTURE:
Central to the network is a single NetCon module that energizes the entire setup. This network comprises four independent network trunks, each capable of accommodating up to 60 I/O modules. Every LINKnet module, or node, within a trunk connects back to the NetCon controller via a singular twisted pair wire, enabling a single NetCon controller to manage up to 240 LINKnet modules across four twisted pair lines, with each module housing multiple I/O channels.

The NetCon controller's four channels operate independently in different rate groups, which are predefined by the MOE coder program. Consequently, all nodes within a network synchronize to operate at a uniform speed.

CONFIGURATION:
Each LINKnet module features two rotary switches that facilitate network address configuration. These switches must be set to match the specific module number (ranging from 1 to 60) allocated for that node within the MOE coder during installation.

HARDWARE DETAILS:
The architecture includes a singular, pluggable NetCon module alongside numerous diverse I/O modules. The range encompasses thermocouple, RTD, discrete inputs (4-20 mA), relay outputs, and various other types of I/O modules. Specifically, analog modules feature six channels per module, while relay output modules consist of eight channels, and discrete input modules boast sixteen channels.

For versatility in installation, each I/O module is housed in a plastic Phoenix field termination module package suitable for DIN rail mounting. These modules can be strategically placed either within the control cabinet or in close proximity to the turbine, ensuring compatibility with temperature and vibration constraints of the environment.
