6DS1731-8RR Siemens TELEPERM M, Analog Input Module

The analog input module 6DS1731-8RR is provided for use in the following automation systems:

1.Restrictions:
-Use only without interrupt
-Transmitters in two-wire system not permissible with AS 235 K and ES 100 K in AC 230 V version
2. Not operable with "STRUK" via CS275 (AP transport)
3. The module must not be configured via bus when the AElN driver is used. lf the module is accessed erroneously via the bus (command AP, SP No.) the analog measured value of channel 31 can be garbled.
It is used for the acquisition of four analog signals such as
-thermocouples, without intermediate transducers
-resistance thermometers, such as Pt 100
-transducers,0(4)to 20 mA or
-voltage signal transmitters 0(2)to + 10 V
The module 6DS1731-8RR has the following additional features:
-4 unassigned binary inputs which may be used as binary qualifiers of the analog signalscan be connected redundantly
-4 unassigned analog outputs for the output of analog voltage signals ranging from 0(2) to+ 10 V; cannot be connected redundantly
-4 unassigned analog outputs for the output of analog current signals ranging from 0(4) to 20mA. User devices can be connected redundantly via 2 diodes per output.These analog outputs have a disgnostic possibility i.e. an output wire breakage is detected and the faulty channel is signalled.
-8 unassigned binary outputs for the output of binary signals or for supplying transducers (up to 100 mA):can be connected redundantly
Up to two measuring point extension modules 6DS1703-8AB/-8RR (each with 14 channels)can be connected to the module front panel via a connecting cable. This combination allows the acquisition of up to 32 analog signals. The module can be configured i.e. signal processing and monitoring (e.g. limit formation) are made in the module processor.
